Several long-distance trains will start, end, or skip KSR Bengaluru station till March 11 as Indian Railways undertakes pit line reconstruction work.
Passengers travelling by train from and to Bengaluru must take note of significant terminal station changes due to pit line reconstruction work at KSR Bengaluru Railway Station. Because of this ongoing work, Indian Railways has altered the originating and terminating stations of several trains from January 16 to March 11.
Railway authorities have clarified that trains which normally start or end at KSR Bengaluru will instead operate from Bengaluru Cantonment, Yeshwanthpur, or SMVT Bengaluru during this period. Passengers have been advised to carefully check these changes and cooperate, as the modifications directly affect major routes connecting Bengaluru with Ernakulam, Hazur Sahib Nanded, and Kannur.
As part of the changes, Train No. 12678 Ernakulam Junction-KSR Bengaluru Express will be partially cancelled between Bengaluru Cantonment and KSR Bengaluru from January 16 to March 10. The train will terminate at Bengaluru Cantonment instead of KSR Bengaluru.

Similarly, Train No. 12677 KSR Bengaluru-Ernakulam Junction Express will face partial cancellation between KSR Bengaluru and Bengaluru Cantonment from January 17 to March 11. During this period, the train will depart from Bengaluru Cantonment at 6:20 am instead of KSR Bengaluru.
Changes have also been announced for the Hazur Sahib Nanded-KSR Bengaluru Express (Train No. 16594). From January 16 to March 10, this train, which usually ends at KSR Bengaluru, will terminate at Yeshwanthpur. It will run via Yelahanka, Lottegollahalli, and Yeshwanthpur, with no stoppage at Bengaluru Cantonment or KSR Bengaluru.
In the return direction, the KSR Bengaluru-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express will operate from Yeshwanthpur instead of KSR Bengaluru from January 17 to March 11, departing at 11:55 pm. This service will also run via Yeshwanthpur, Lottegollahalli, and Yelahanka, skipping both KSR Bengaluru and Bengaluru Cantonment.
The Kannur-KSR Bengaluru Express will also see changes from January 16 to March 10. Instead of KSR Bengaluru, the train will terminate at SMVT Bengaluru and run via Yeshwanthpur, Hebbal, Banaswadi, and SMVT Bengaluru.
Likewise, the KSR Bengaluru-Kannur Express will start from SMVT Bengaluru between January 17 and March 11, departing at 8:00 pm. This train will operate through SMVT Bengaluru, Banaswadi, Hebbal, and Yeshwanthpur, without touching KSR Bengaluru.
Railway officials have reiterated that these changes are temporary and are necessary to complete essential infrastructure upgrades at KSR Bengaluru station. Passengers are urged to plan their journeys accordingly.
