A Bengaluru couple has approached the Police Commissioner, alleging years of abuse, threats, forced sexual exploitation, illegal abortion, and misuse of law by the woman’s own family.

In a deeply disturbing case that has sent shockwaves across Bengaluru, a married couple has filed a formal complaint with the Police Commissioner, alleging prolonged sexual abuse, mental torture, illegal abortion, criminal intimidation, and misuse of legal provisions by the woman’s own family members.

The complainants, Salman and his wife Saniya Kausar, stated that they were married in 2023 according to Islamic customs and are parents to a baby boy named Umar Ali. Despite their marriage and child, the woman’s family allegedly refused to allow her to live peacefully with her husband and repeatedly interfered in their personal lives.

According to the complaint, Saniya has accused her brother Suhail Ahmed of sexually assaulting her. She also alleged that her parents forced her to engage in sexual acts, pressured her to sleep with wealthy men for money, and threatened to kidnap her child if she refused. The woman further claimed that her own mother forced her to undergo an illegal abortion, adding to her trauma.

The couple also alleged that the woman’s parents created a fake Aadhaar card and misused legal procedures to file a false POCSO case against the husband, leading to his imprisonment, even though the couple already had a child. They claimed this was done to threaten, harass, and silence them.

In another shocking allegation, the couple stated that Saniya’s parents pressured her to maintain illicit relationships with influential individuals. When the couple resisted, they were allegedly threatened with severe consequences, including the abduction of their child.

The couple has now submitted a detailed complaint to the Police Commissioner, urging authorities to conduct a fair and thorough investigation. They have sought legal protection, immediate action against the accused family members, and safety for themselves and their child.

Police officials have acknowledged the complaint and assured necessary action after verifying all allegations. Investigations are expected to focus on the serious charges of sexual assault, forced abortion, criminal intimidation, extortion, and misuse of child protection laws.
