Four-member gang targets a well-known hotel on Outer Ring Road, breaks open cash counter lock with iron rod; CK Achukattu police launch hunt after FIR.

A daring burglary was reported at a prestigious hotel in Bengaluru, where thieves made away with a large sum of cash during the early hours of the morning. The incident took place at Ayodhya Upachar Hotel, located near Janata Bazaar on the Outer Ring Road, under the CK Achukattu Police Station limits.

According to police sources, the theft occurred at around 1.45 am on February 2, when a four-member gang of youths allegedly broke into the hotel premises. The gang reportedly used an iron rod to force open the lock of the cash counter and escaped with approximately ₹2.5 lakh in cash kept inside.

Investigators said the operation appeared to be well-planned. While two members of the gang entered the hotel and carried out the theft, the remaining two stood outside to keep watch, ensuring a quick escape without raising suspicion.

The theft came to light later in the morning when hotel staff checked the cash counter and found the money missing. The hotel manager immediately alerted the CK Achukattu police, who rushed to the spot and began preliminary investigation.

Police have since seized the CCTV DVR from the hotel and are carefully examining the footage to identify the suspects and track their movements before and after the crime. Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered, and special teams have been formed to trace and arrest the accused.
