Two businessmen accuse Sunny R Naik of collecting crores by promising KIADB sites in Bengaluru and Dabaspet, using photos with influential people to gain trust; complaint filed with City Police Commissioner.
A major multi-crore land scam has come to light in Bengaluru, with two entrepreneurs alleging that they were cheated of huge sums after being promised KIADB industrial sites. The victims, Rajagopal and Maltesh, have filed a detailed complaint with the City Police Commissioner, accusing Sunny R Naik of fraud, misrepresentation, and criminal breach of trust.
According to the complaint, Sunny R Naik approached the businessmen claiming he could arrange KIADB sites in Bengaluru and Dabaspet. To gain their confidence, he allegedly used the names of a reputed math swamiji and senior ministers, and also showed photographs with influential personalities, creating the impression that he had strong political and religious backing.

Trusting these claims, the two entrepreneurs reportedly paid crores of rupees in phases, hoping to secure industrial land for their business expansion. The money was handed over gradually, based on repeated assurances that the site allotment process was underway and would be completed soon.
However, no KIADB sites were allotted even after receiving massive payments, and repeated follow-ups did not yield any concrete results. When the victims realised that they had been misled, they approached the City Police Commissioner’s office and lodged a formal complaint, detailing the alleged fraud.
The complaint states that Sunny R Naik collected money specifically in the name of arranging KIADB sites, but failed to deliver on his promises. The entrepreneurs claim that their strong desire to acquire industrial land was exploited, leading to severe financial losses running into crores.

They have also alleged that Sunny used photographs with influential figures to project power and credibility, which played a key role in convincing them to part with such large sums.
Police officials have confirmed that the complaint has been received and that a detailed investigation is underway. The probe will focus on financial transactions, communication records, and the role of any associates. Authorities are also examining how the accused created and used influence-based claims to carry out the alleged scam.
