“My son was not driving”: HM Revanna responds after accident near Gudemarahanahalli toll

After a 23-year-old youth died in an accident involving his son’s car, HM Revanna clarified that Shashank was not driving and that a driver was at the wheel. He expressed sympathy, cited panic at the spot, and said he will meet and help the victim’s family.

HM Revanna says his son Shashank was not behind the wheel during the fatal accident and promises support to the victim’s family.

Guarantee Implementation Committee Chairman H.M. Revanna has responded to the controversy surrounding the fatal accident involving his son’s car, stating that his son Shashank was not driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Speaking to NewsFirst, Revanna said the accident took place near Gudemarahanahalli Toll late last night while they were returning after performing pooja. The crash resulted in the death of 23-year-old B.G. Rajesh, a resident of Belagumba and an employee at a factory in Dabaspet.

Revanna explained that a driver was at the wheel, and his son Shashank was travelling in the car along with his wife and child. He said they moved ahead from the spot because they feared a crowd might gather and a confrontation could break out.

Revanna expressed sorrow over the incident and said he has sympathy for the victim’s family.

“A tragic accident has happened. Let there be forgiveness for what occurred. I am going to meet the family and will help them,” he said.

He also mentioned that the mishap occurred after two bikes came in the way, leading to the collision.

As the investigation continues, Revanna has assured that he will cooperate fully and extend support to the bereaved family.
