Bengaluru Metro commuters get relief as BMRCL opens 10 new bus stops—2 on Purple Line, 8 on Green Line—boosting last-mile connectivity across the city
Bengaluru’s Namma Metro is taking another step closer to its passengers with the opening of new bus stops near metro stations, ensuring smoother last-mile connectivity across the city. The initiative, launched by BMRCL in collaboration with the Traffic Police Department, has introduced two bus stops along the Purple Line and eight along the Green Line, making travel more convenient for daily commuters.
Purple Line Additions
• Trinity Station: A new bus stand for passengers traveling from M.G. Road towards Halsur.
• Hoodi Station: A bus stand for those heading from Sitaramapalya towards Garudacharpalya.
Green Line Additions
• Manjunatha Nagar: For passengers traveling from Chikkabidarakallu towards Nagasandra.
• Peenya Station: Two new bus stands—one serving passengers from Goraguntepalya towards Peenya Industrial Area, and another in the reverse direction.
• Lalbagh Station: For commuters traveling from South End Circle towards National College.
• South End Circle: A bus stand for passengers heading from Lalbagh towards Jayanagar.
• Jayaprakash Nagar: Two bus stands—one for Banashankari to Yalachenahalli, and another for Yalachenahalli to Banashankari.
• Konanakunte Cross: Two bus stands serving both directions between Doddakallasandra and Yalachenahalli.
• Vajarahalli Station: Two bus stands, including one near the ‘A’ entrance, catering to passengers traveling between Talaghattapur and Doddakallasandra.
• Talaghattapur Station: Two bus stands, including one at the base of the station, serving routes between Silk Institute and Vajarahalli.

With these additions, metro commuters can now seamlessly switch between bus and metro services, reducing travel hassles and improving accessibility across Bengaluru. The move is expected to significantly ease last-mile connectivity, making public transport more reliable and commuter-friendly.
