City placed under extensive security cover with traffic curbs, heavy fines for violations, and large-scale police deployment in party hubs like MG Road, Brigade Road and Church Street.
As Bengaluru gears up to welcome the New Year, the city police have put in place high-security arrangements, deploying over 20,000 police personnel to ensure peaceful and incident-free celebrations.
Senior officers are closely monitoring preparations, with 10 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) personally inspecting bandobast arrangements across sensitive and high-footfall locations.

Tight security in party zones
Areas known for large New Year gatherings, including MG Road, Brigade Road, Church Street and Koramangala, will be under intense police surveillance. Several surrounding roads will face vehicle movement restrictions to manage crowd flow and prevent congestion.
Strict enforcement will be in place on Brigade Road, Rest House Road, MG Road and Church Street. Police have warned that vehicles parked in no-parking zones in these areas will attract heavy fines, with towing action likely.
Massive police presence on ground
To maintain order and ensure quick emergency response, the police department has deployed a large multi-agency force across the city. On-ground arrangements include:

• Ambulances: 55

• C-SWAT Teams: 4
• Quick Response Teams (QRT): 3

Police officials said the extensive deployment is aimed at crowd control, crime prevention, women’s safety and swift handling of emergencies. Citizens have been urged to follow traffic advisories, avoid violations and cooperate with police to ensure a safe New Year celebration in the city.
