A tragic incident on Kanakapura Road in Bengaluru has triggered swift action from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), following the death of a Class 9 student due to alleged negligence during pipeline work.

The victim, identified as Pritham, had gone missing for nearly three days, leaving his family and local residents deeply worried. A search was launched after residents noticed a strong foul smell near an area where BWSSB pipeline work was underway. Upon inspection, Pritham’s body was found floating inside an uncovered concrete chamber, confirming the worst fears of his family.

According to local residents, the chamber was part of an ongoing but delayed water pipeline project and had been left open and unguarded, posing a serious safety risk. It is believed that the boy accidentally slipped into the chamber while passing through the area.
