The then BBMP online khata transfer payment glitch leaves Bengaluru homeowner anxious as money gets debited without confirmation or receipt.
A serious concern has emerged over online property payment systems after a Bengaluru resident lost access to ₹1.67 lakh following a digital transaction that remains unresolved even after a week.
M Srinivas, a property owner residing in Hosakerehalli under Ward 161, had applied to convert his house property from B Khata to A Khata. As part of the official process, he made an online payment of ₹1,67,000 on February 12 through the designated civic portal.
While the amount was immediately debited from his bank account, Srinivas did not receive any payment receipt or official confirmation from the authorities. Even seven days later, the transaction status continues to show as “pending” on the system.

This unexpected situation has caused deep distress to the homeowner, as a significant sum of money has been deducted without any formal acknowledgment or processing update. Despite repeated checks, there has been no clarity on whether the payment has reached the concerned department.
Srinivas has now appealed to civic authorities to urgently resolve the issue and provide a proper receipt or refund. He has also urged officials to strengthen online payment mechanisms to prevent such stressful situations for citizens.
