Parents allege violations as Orchids The International School near Tumakuru Road begins admissions without essential clearances, raising questions on education department’s inaction.
A major controversy has erupted around Orchids The International School after allegations surfaced that its campus near Tumakuru Road, Makali, has started operations and even opened admissions for the 2025-26 academic year without obtaining the necessary clearances.

Parents and education activists accuse the school of misleading families by concealing facts and pushing forward admissions for classes 1 to 8 despite lacking vital documents. Reports confirm that the institution has not secured a Recognised Registration (RR) number from the Education Department, a basic requirement for any school to function legally.
The violations reportedly don’t stop there. The school is also accused of operating without a No Objection Certificate (NOC), fire safety clearance, or an approved building master plan. Sources from the Deputy Director of Public Instruction’s office indicate that multiple irregularities have been brought to light, raising serious concerns over student safety and regulatory accountability.

What is drawing further criticism is the alleged inaction of education authorities. Despite repeated complaints about mushrooming unrecognised schools in the city, activists claim officials have been reluctant to clamp down on violators, often due to political or influential pressure.
With Orchids International School already being a reputed brand in Bengaluru, the revelations have left many questioning how a prestigious institution could bypass basic compliance and continue to operate.
