After several days of closure due to construction, Panathur Road will reopen on Friday, easing heavy traffic on the Varthur-Marathahalli stretch and helping reduce bottlenecks along the Outer Ring Road.
Commuters on Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road are set to get relief as Panathur Road will reopen on Friday. The road had been closed for several days due to ongoing construction, creating severe congestion on the Varthur-Marathahalli Road and Vibgyor Road.

The reopening is expected to ease traffic bottlenecks on the busy ORR stretch. In the meantime, motorists traveling from Ibblur towards Silk Board Junction were advised to take alternate routes. Options include traveling via the 14th Main Road flyover and continuing along the main road to reach the 5th Main Road Junction, or using the internal roads of HSR Layout to proceed towards Silk Board and Hosur Main Road.
Traffic authorities have urged commuters to plan their journeys and follow detours until Panathur Road fully reopens.
