Power cut alert: Electricity to be suspended for two days in several North Bengaluru areas

BESCOM has announced a power shutdown from 10 am to 6 pm today and tomorrow in several North Bengaluru areas due to emergency maintenance work. Residents under the 66/11 kV Soladevanahalli substation are advised to plan in advance.

BESCOM announces scheduled power shutdown from 10 am to 6 pm today and tomorrow due to emergency maintenance work under the Soladevanahalli substation.

Several parts of North Bengaluru will face a scheduled power outage today and tomorrow as the electricity supply company undertakes emergency maintenance work. According to the power utility, electricity will be suspended from 10 am to 6 pm on both days in areas coming under the 66/11 kV Soladevanahalli substation.

Officials stated that the shutdown is essential to carry out urgent maintenance work, which is expected to improve the reliability and smooth flow of power supply in the future.

Due to the scale of the maintenance activity, a large number of localities will be impacted. Areas likely to face power disruption include Tarabanahalli, Hurulichikkanahalli, TB Cross, Hesaraghatta, Bilijaji, Dwarakanagar, as well as Chikkabanavara, Maruti Nagar, Ganapati Nagar, Shantinagar, Brothers Colony.

Other affected localities are Krishna College Road, Raghavendra Layout, Sasuveghatta, Guddadahalli, Dasenahalli, Totagere Basavanna Temple area, Hoshalli Palya, along with CDPO area, Danish Farm, KMF premises, Animal Husbandry Department, Guni Agrahara.

Power supply will also be disrupted in Somashettihalli, Ganigarahalli, Kere Gudda Line Feeder area, K.T. Pura, Seethakempanahalli, State Fisheries area, Linganahalli, Madappanahalli, and Kalenahalli, Shivakote village, Mavallipura, Kondashettihalli.

Additionally, Madhugiri Veerhalli, Kurubarahalli, Pakkaegowdanapalya, Raghavendra Dhama, Bailakere, Acharya College Main Road, Achyuth Nagar, and Soladevanahalli and surrounding areas will be affected.

BESCOM clarified that while power interruptions have become common in several parts of Bengaluru due to ongoing maintenance works, this shutdown will impact a particularly large stretch under the Soladevanahalli substation. Residents and traders in these areas may face temporary inconvenience.
