BESCOM has announced a scheduled power outage across multiple Bengaluru localities on Thursday due to emergency maintenance work by KPTCL at the Pottery Substation.
Residents in several parts of Bengaluru will experience a power outage tomorrow, as the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) undertakes emergency maintenance work at the 66/11kV Pottery Substation.
According to a statement issued by BESCOM, power supply will remain disrupted between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM in areas falling under the Pottery Substation’s limits. The outage is necessary for ongoing maintenance and upgradation work to ensure uninterrupted and reliable power distribution in the coming weeks.

The affected areas include Old Baiyappanahalli, Nageena Palya, Satyangar, Gajendranagar, S. Kumar Layout, Andhra Bank Road, Cookson Road, Richards Park Road, Oil Mill Road, Sadashiva Temple Road, Kammanahalli Main Road, KHB Colony, Jai Bharat Nagar, C.K. Garden, Ashoka Road, Banaswadi Railway Station Road, Mariyamma Temple Street, Vivekananda Nagar, and Telephone Exchange Road.
Other localities impacted are Lingarajapuram, Kariyanapalya, Ramachandrappa Layout, Karamchand Layout, CMR Layout, Srinivasa Layout, Milton Street, Puravankara Apartments, ITC Main Road, Jeevanahalli, Louis Road, Krishnappa Garden, BBMP Hospital, Orion Mall, Tyagaraja Layout, Kempanna Road, Mudappa Road, Mukunda Theatre, and Post Office Road.

Power supply will also be affected in Frazer Town, Cox Town, Benson Town, Richards Town, Maruthi Sevanagar, St. John’s Road, Davis Road, Hall Road, Masjid Road, Coles Road, Halasuru, R.K. Road, Biappanahalli, and surrounding areas.
Officials have urged residents and commercial establishments to plan accordingly and complete power-dependent activities in advance.
