Power outage today in North Bengaluru due to emergency KPTCL works

Power supply will be disrupted across several parts of North Bengaluru today from 10 am to 5 pm due to emergency maintenance work by KPTCL at the Mattikere substation, affecting residential and commercial localities.

Electricity supply to be disrupted from 10 am to 5 pm in Mattikere and surrounding areas as KPTCL undertakes urgent maintenance at Mattikere substation

Residents of several neighbourhoods in North Bengaluru will experience a planned power outage today, following emergency maintenance work undertaken by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) at the Mattikere substation.

According to officials, electricity supply will remain disrupted from 10 am to 5 pm, as urgent repair and maintenance activities are being carried out to ensure system safety and reliability. The outage will impact multiple residential, commercial and institutional areas connected to the Mattikere power grid.

Areas scheduled to face power disruption include Lottegollahalli, Munihanumaiyya Colony, R.K. Udyana, Sanjeevappa Colony, MLA Layout, Netaji Nagar, Pipeline Road, Mattikere, Mohan Kumar Nagar, JP Park, Aakkiyappa Udyana, BK Nagar, LIC Colony, Pump Nagar and parts of Yeshwanthpur including 1st Main Road.

Other affected localities are HMT Layout, LCR School Road, Gokul 1st Phase, Gurumoorthy Reddy Colony, KN Extension, SBM Colony, Brindavan Nagar, HMT Main Road, MRJ Colony, Sanjeevappa Colony, 3rd Main Road, Mattikere 2nd Main Road to 10th Main Road, VR Layout, Tank Bund Road, JP Park area and adjoining surroundings.

KPTCL officials stated that power supply will also be affected in nearby and surrounding areas connected to these feeders during the maintenance window.

Residents have been advised to plan their activities in advance, especially those working from home, commercial establishments and healthcare facilities dependent on uninterrupted power supply. Officials added that electricity will be restored immediately after the completion of maintenance work.
