Speeding bullet bike mows down young bank employee while crossing road in Bengaluru

A 27-year-old HDFC Bank employee died after a speeding bike hit her while crossing Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. The accident occurred around 12:30 pm. Police have registered a case and launched a search for the biker.

In a tragic road accident, a 27-year-old woman lost her life after being hit by a speeding motorcycle while crossing the road near HDFC Bank on Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. The incident occurred at around 12:30 pm on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Yogeshwari, a resident of Kempegowda Layout near Laggere. She was employed at HDFC Bank and had stepped out with a colleague to collect lunch. While returning, Yogeshwari and her friend attempted to cross the busy road near the bank.

According to eyewitness accounts, Yogeshwari’s friend noticed an approaching motorcycle and paused. Believing she could cross safely, Yogeshwari moved ahead when a high-speed Bullet bike suddenly rammed into her. The impact threw her onto the road, leaving her with severe injuries to multiple parts of her body.

She was immediately rushed to Suguna Hospital for emergency treatment. However, despite the doctors’ efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. Her post-mortem examination was later conducted at Victoria Hospital.

The biker, identified as Deepan (21), also fell during the collision and sustained injuries. He was admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Rajajinagar traffic police visited the spot, inspected the scene, and registered a case. Investigators are currently gathering evidence and tracking down the rider involved in the crash.
