With summer setting in, Bengaluru Central City Corporation launches a major safety operation to clear dry and risky trees across six Assembly segments to prevent accidents.
With the arrival of summer and rising safety concerns, the Bengaluru Central City Corporation has intensified its preventive action by removing dry and dangerous trees and branches across its jurisdiction. The large-scale operation aims to avoid accidents caused by falling trees and unstable branches during strong winds and heat-related stress.
The extensive drive was carried out across roads, parks, and lake premises falling under six Assembly constituencies in the central zone of the city. The Forest Department unit of the civic body has been conducting continuous operations for the past one week to identify and eliminate potentially hazardous trees and dry branches.
Officials said the action was taken as a precautionary measure following multiple incidents of tree falls during summer months in previous years. Special teams were deployed to inspect vulnerable locations, including busy roads, public parks, and lake boundaries, ensuring public safety.
