Residents near Evershine Greenwood Apartments suffer severe breathing problems as trucks secretly dump and burn loads of waste every night, creating a toxic environment and daily distress.
Life has turned into daily suffering for residents living near Evershine Greenwood Apartments in Sarjapur, where illegal garbage dumping and burning have created a severe health and environmental crisis.
According to local residents, unknown vehicles silently arrive late at night and unload truckloads of waste into a vacant plot beside the apartment complex. These vehicles leave without any trace, making it difficult to identify those responsible. Shockingly, the garbage is often set on fire before the vehicles depart, filling the entire area with thick smoke and toxic fumes.
This hazardous practice has been continuing for the past three years, leaving residents exhausted and helpless. People living in nearby apartments say they are forced to spend their nights in suffocating conditions, struggling to breathe due to the polluted air. Many have developed respiratory problems, throat irritation, eye burning, and frequent headaches.

The problem intensifies at night, when the silent dumping and burning go unnoticed. By morning, the area is left covered in ash, foul smell, and scattered waste, turning the locality into a health risk zone. Residents say that despite repeated complaints, no permanent solution has been implemented so far.
The vacant land near Evershine Greenwood Apartments has effectively become an illegal dumping ground, with heavy loads of waste being unloaded daily. Locals allege that the garbage is not just dumped but deliberately burnt to reduce its volume, worsening the air quality.
Angered and distressed, residents have now raised strong objections and demanded immediate action from civic authorities. They have urged officials to install CCTV cameras, deploy night patrols, and strictly penalise those involved in illegal dumping and burning.
People living in the surrounding apartments say their health and peace have been severely affected, and they are calling for urgent intervention to stop this dangerous practice and restore a safe living environment.
