Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced diversions around Bommanahalli and Hosur Road on November 7, as over 2,000 devotees take part in the Eid Milad procession.
The Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued an important advisory ahead of the Eid Milad celebrations in Bommanahalli on Thursday, November 7, 2025, urging commuters to avoid Hosur Road and surrounding areas after 3 PM due to a major religious procession.
The event, organised by the Bommanahalli Muslim Youth Welfare Association (R), will bring together 2,000 to 2,500 devotees and 17 to 20 decorated tableau vehicles. The grand procession will begin near Mecca Mosque in Mangammanapalya, Madina Nagar, and move through Mangammanapalya Main Road and the Hosur Road Service Road. It will join Hosur Main Road near the Mangammanapalya Bus Stand, take a U-turn near the 21st pillar, and continue towards Bommanahalli Junction, finally ending in front of the Urdu School behind Jamia Masjid on Begur Road.
Traffic officials have warned that congestion and slow-moving traffic are expected in the Bommanahalli Junction, Rupena Agrahara, and Garvebhavipalya Junction areas. Commuters heading towards or out of Bengaluru via Hosur Road are advised to plan their travel in advance and use alternate routes suggested by the police.
Alternative Routes for Motorists:
• From Wilson Garden/Adugodi: Use Dairy Circle – Bannerghatta Road – NICE Road to reach Hosur Road.
• From Banashankari: Take the Double Decker Flyover, turn right at Jayadeva Junction, proceed via Bannerghatta Road, and join Hosur Road through NICE Road.
• From Outer Ring Road (Marathahalli): Turn left onto 27th Main Road, proceed to Kudlu via Vemana Junction and Somasundarapalya, and continue to Hosur Main Road.
• From Hosur towards Bengaluru: Use the Electronic City Elevated Flyover for a smoother journey.
