Three-storey station near Manyata Tech Park blends transit and retail, while Blue Line and Pink Line stations progress at varied speeds across Bengaluru.
The upcoming Veeranapalya Metro station on Bengaluru’s Blue Line is set to become one of the city’s most modern transit hubs, featuring a three-storey structure with a dedicated commercial floor. This new design is aimed at improving commuter convenience and making better use of space in high-traffic areas.
Unlike conventional metro stations that typically have two levels, the Veeranapalya station will include an additional floor entirely reserved for commercial activities. The first level will be used for property development, followed by the concourse level, and finally the platform level. This layout is intended to integrate public transport with shopping and service facilities, creating a multi-purpose transit centre.

Located next to Manyata Tech Park, one of Bengaluru’s largest IT hubs, the station is expected to handle heavy daily footfall from technology professionals. The commercial facilities within the station are designed to meet the needs of working commuters by offering shopping, dining, and essential services, reducing the need for separate travel.
Along the north-east corridor of the Blue Line, construction at Horamavu station has reached an advanced stage. Once completed, the station will significantly improve connectivity for residents and businesses in nearby areas, enhancing overall access along the corridor.

However, progress at HRBR Layout station has been slower compared to neighbouring Kalyan Nagar and Kasturinagar stations. Construction difficulties and coordination challenges have contributed to delays, which could impact the overall project timeline for this segment of the Blue Line.
