WeWork India expands Bengaluru presence in ₹110 crore plan

WeWork India is set to deepen its footprint in Bengaluru as part of a broader expansion across Hyderabad and Pune, adding nearly 7,700 new desks with a planned investment of ₹110 crore. The company is funding the growth through a mix of internal accruals and debt.

In Bengaluru, WeWork has signed a lease for 1,69,485 sq ft, which will accommodate about 3,100 desks. The centre is expected to be operational on or before September 2026, backed by a projected spend of ₹42 crore. This marks the largest single addition in the expansion plan, underscoring Bengaluru’s role as a key market for flexible workspaces.

The company has also secured 1,45,114 sq ft in Hyderabad, adding around 2,100 desks with an investment of ₹32 crore, slated to open by July 2026. In Pune, a leave36 crore.

WeWork India currently operates 1,21,638 desks with utilisation at 83.9%. The new centres are designed to meet rising demand for coworking solutions and reinforce the company’s leadership in Bengaluru, where tech and startup ecosystems continue to drive strong office space requirements.
