World Ayurveda Summit begins in Bengaluru with 1,500 delegates from 50+ nations, focusing on preventive care, wellness, and Ayurveda’s role in modern healthcare
Bengaluru has become the global hub for traditional medicine as the four‑day World Ayurveda Summit commenced on Thursday. The event has drawn experts, practitioners, researchers, and policymakers from across the world to deliberate on the future of Ayurveda and its role in modern healthcare.
Organised by the World Ayurveda Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of AYUSH, the summit is designed to highlight Ayurveda’s transition from reactive treatment to proactive wellness. The focus is on harnessing nature‑based solutions to build a health‑centric and conscious society.

The programme includes scientific sessions, panel discussions, and exhibitions that showcase Ayurvedic products, innovations, and ongoing research. More than 1,500 delegates representing over 50 countries are participating, making it one of the largest global gatherings dedicated to traditional medicine.
Key themes under discussion include preventive healthcare, lifestyle management, mental well‑being, and strategies to address non‑communicable diseases through Ayurvedic practices. Another major objective is to explore ways of integrating Ayurveda into mainstream healthcare systems while promoting evidence‑based approaches.
The summit is being hosted at the Bengaluru Palace grounds and will run until Sunday, offering a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange aimed at strengthening Ayurveda’s global presence.
