Bengaluru’s engineering students are redefining the internship landscape with staggering monthly stipends reaching Rs 1 lakh, marking a significant shift in the opportunities available to them.

According to reports, prestigious educational institutions such as IIT Mandi, RV College of Engineering, and Vellore Institute of Technology are witnessing a remarkable surge in students securing lucrative internships.

RV College of Engineering, in particular, has seen a substantial uptick, with an impressive 39 students now earning over Rs 1 lakh per month, a notable leap from just 8 students last year.

Similarly, IIT Mandi witnessed 27 students bagging stipends of Rs 1 lakh or more, while around 30 students at Vellore Institute of Technology also received similar high-paying internships.

Tech giants like Couchbase and Amazon are among the companies offering these lucrative opportunities, with stipends ranging from Rs 1.1 lakh to Rs 1.2 lakh. This influx of high-paying internships reflects a promising trend in student employment prospects across India’s premier educational institutions.

What’s more, a considerable number of students who complete internships with these tech firms are securing permanent positions, underscoring the valuable experience and skill development these internships offer.
