Rahul Gandhi should have spoken when comments were made on Sanatana Dharma: Kavitha

A 4-year-old video of the Minister of Parliament (MP) from Chennai Central representing the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has caused a controversy at a national level owing to the DMK’s involvement in the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A). “Who is constructing buildings today? Those who learn only Hindi in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Bihar come here, learn Tamil to construct homes, roads and toilets. This is the consequence of hindi-centred education. Those who learn English are earning handsome salaries in IT companies,” he said.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader K.Kavitha has demanded an explanation from Indian National Congress (INC) leader Rahul Gandhi over his silence with regard to the statement. “It is not about one particular party’s views, it is about how these kinds of statements are going to disturb the fabric of our nation and which alliance is this particular party a part of. It is a part of the INDIA bloc, which is led by Rahul Gandhi’s Congress. Rahul Gandhi continuously keeps making a lot of statements about Bharat Jodo Yatra where he is constantly trying to unite the nation. Now, it looks like a PR stunt because he should have stood up, spoken when comments were made on Sanatana Dharma, which has hurt Hindu sentiments,” she stated.
