Bhavani Revanna granted interim bail by High Court

National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Hassan in the 2024 Lok Sabha Election Prajwal Revanna’s mother Bhavani Revanna was outside the radar of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the kidnapping case filed against her. She has however got bail in this case. Her application for interim bail has been accepted. 

This relief was granted to her by the Karnataka High Court. She would however be appearing in front of the SIT at 1 PM. She has been advised by the court to assist the SIT in their investigation at all stages.

She was earlier called for an enquiry by the SIT. She was however apprehensive of an arrest and remained elusive. The SIT then proceeded to have her arrested. She was however not to be found. The single judge that heard the case has now granted her bail. 

Prajwal Revanna who contested from the Janata Dal (Secular) lost by a margin of 42,649 votes to Shreyas Patil of the Indian National Congress (INC). Despite the scandal, it is notable that Prajwal Revanna managed to secure 630339 votes in the election.
