BJP leader Bhanuprakash dies from heart attack while returning from protest against Congress government over price rise

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Member of Legislative Council (MLC) M.B Bhanuprakash died due to a sudden heart attack. He had protested against the Karnataka state government led by the Indian National Congress (INC) over the increase in petrol and diesel rates. The tragedy occurred while he was returning from the protest site. 

These protests took place in many places across Karnataka. Bhanupraksh’s bike was also used in a demonstration in Shivamogga. He was headed to the party office after the demonstration. He felt pain in his chest while returning. He was immediately shifted to a private hospital. He however passed away within minutes of being admitted.

Bhanuprakash had served as the district president for BJP as well as a member of the district panchayat. He was a member of the Vidhan Parishad from 2013 until 2019. Apart from having served in various positions, he was also actively involved in the functioning of the party. Bhanuprakash had entered the BJP from the Sangh Parivar. He was therefore incharge of 4 Lok Sabha constituencies.
