BMRCL extends timings on polling day (April 26)

As Karnataka gears up for voting on April 26, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced an extension of its services to facilitate citizens in exercising their right to vote. Residents of Bengaluru and several parts of Karnataka will benefit from the extended metro services, ensuring convenient transportation to polling stations.

In a bid to accommodate voters, BMRCL has decided to extend the operating hours of trains on the green and purple lines. These lines will now operate until 11:55 pm, providing commuters with additional time to travel to and from their respective constituencies.

At the bustling Majestic station, a vital hub connecting various parts of the city, the last train will depart at 12:35 am, allowing voters to return home safely after casting their ballots. The decision to extend metro services reflects BMRCL’s commitment to promoting civic participation and ensuring accessibility to polling booths for all citizens.
