Commuters applaud BMRCL’s efforts to enhance station aesthetics and engagement. Selfie points at Banashankari and Konanakunte Cross stations have garnered praise, with many urging for more beautification, particularly through murals. Metro commuters lauded the Cubbon Park station’s murals as exemplary, emphasizing their role in promoting BMRCL’s image and engaging commuters.

The Art in Transit initiative, a collaboration between BMRCL and Srishti Institute of Art and Design, produced murals at Cubbon Park station, telling stories of the city’s water heritage. Funding from the Bangalore Sustainability Forum supported this project, aiming to raise public awareness and participation in water conservation. Plans are underway to extend this initiative to stations like Chikpete and explore themes such as the Vrishabhavathi river at Vijaynagar.

Commuters also advocate for collaborative efforts to replicate such murals across all metro stations, involving BMRCL, NGOs, and art institutions. Additionally, commuters suggest improved signages to facilitate navigation, especially to feeder bus stops introduced by BMTC. Some commuters also highlighted the need for signages or help desks at busy junctions like Banashankari to ease commuter transitions.
