In what appears as a breakthrough in the Rameshwaram Cafe blasts in Bengaluru, Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara has revealed that the cops have identified a suspect, who reached the cafe on a bus. He has been identified using the CCTVs installed on the bus, he adds.

The home minister and DCM DK Shivakumar visited the spot a few hours ago. Shivakumar insisted that the police have been given a freehand to investigate the crime.

The incident

Earlier in the day, news of blasts at Rameshwaram Cafe at Kundahalli rocked Bengaluru. As many as five techies, who had gone there to lunch suffered injuries as the bombs went off. CCTV footage of the same catch the horrifying details in toto.

Apart from them, the staff at the eatery were also injured. They are being treated at different hospitals.

The eatery sees a footfall of 5000 on a daily basis. It is speculated that the orchestrators chose this spot for maximum impact.

As many as 7 bolts were recovered, thereby giving a strong impetus to the theory that it is an IED. The NIA will take over the probe.
