The cabin crew of British Airways walked through the streets of Bengaluru for a social cause. “The Trolly Dash” is an annual event by the cabin crew of British Airways in London. In collaboration with Comic Relief the theme of “Red Nose Day” has been selected for this year. The event will be held in India for the first time. “We are celebrating our 100th year of flying to India, because of which we have started a lot of initiatives like the Red Nose Day Trolly Dash. “Flying Start” is a charity partnership between British Airways and Comic Relief. Flying Start supports a lot of charities in India like the butterfly project and Hamara that support underprivileged children and give them a flying start to life. Red Nose Day is a theme which we use to bring joy to children’s lives…when they see the red nose. We are doing it for the first time in India,” George, Global Camp Group Team Leader for British Airways Bengaluru said.

It will be organised in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi. Money is being collected for sport relief. “We started with Chennai yesterday and Bengaluru is the second city to follow. We passed through iconic places in the city starting from terminal 2 Kempegowda International Airport. Then, we came to Bangalore Palace. We passed through Vidhana Soudha, High Court and the City Central Library. We went through UB City, we walked through Church Street and finally ended up on 100 Feet Road Indiranagar. We have met wonderful people along the way who have contributed towards our cause. We wish to raise awareness about comic relief and flying start through the program we have just done today. We hope many of you can go online, contribute and give underprivileged children a great start to their life,”George added.
