The Cauvery Stage V project is set to deliver an additional 750 million litres per day (MLD) to Bengaluru, significantly boosting the city’s water supply. BWSSB is registering all households in the 110 villages to ensure efficient water distribution and officials have been instructed to conduct a door-to-door registration campaign over the next 15 days to encourage residents to sign up for the new water connections.

This initiative is also expected to generate new revenue streams for BWSSB, aiding in the repayment of project-related loans. Addressing concerns about illegal water connections in these villages, Manohar has urged officials to convert unauthorized connections into legal ones to enhance revenue and ensure compliance.

The proactive measures by BWSSB aim to streamline Cauvery water supply process and address long-standing issues in these communities.
