In his reply to the motion of thanks on the President’s Address in the Lok Sabha, PM Narendra Modi tore into the Congress even as he took the opportunity to stress that he would be reelected for the third time in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

1. In our third term, India will become the World’s third best economy in the world and this is PM Modi’s guarantee
2. Congress practices ‘Cancel culture’: When we talk about anything from ‘Vocal for Local’ to ‘Vande Bharat’, they keep cancelling it.
3. Congress lost 10 years of time to be a good opposition. The Congress could have at least given us constructive ideas to help the nation grow.
4. The Opposition parties will continue to be Opposition parties in the future too, thereby hinting at returning to power.
5. Former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi had spoken negatively about the country. While Nehru said Indians are lazy, Indira had said Indians had a ‘defeatist’ mentality.
6. Lord Ram did not just return home, but was built a home in Ayodhya that is grand and magnificent.
7. Expressing his confidence that NDA would come back for a third term, PM Modi said BJP alone would go beyond 370 seats while NDA would go beyond 400 seats.
