The plant is anticipated to generate significant employment opportunities as production scales up over the next three to four years. This expansion reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its presence in India and supporting the growing demand for high-quality optical solutions.

In addition to its business expansion, Zeiss India has partnered with the Karnataka government under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to enhance rural eye care. Through the two-year Vidya Drishti campaign, the company and the state government will screen over 5.3 lakh schoolchildren and six lakh underprivileged adults in Kalaburagi. Free prescription glasses will be provided to those in need, aiming to improve vision and overall quality of life for marginalized communities.
