Identified as Surya, the accused purportedly misrepresented himself to Gowda under the guise of offering her a role in a film production. However, his intentions took a dark turn when he began sending inappropriate messages and persistently calling her, causing immense distress to the actress.

Despite initially downplaying the severity of the situation, authorities took swift action following Gowda’s formal complaint lodged on April 30.
