Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to hold a State-level Janaspandana in front of Vidhana Soudha on February 8, where he will personally address and resolve grievances from the public.

This initiative marks the second time the CM is organizing such an event. L.K. Atheeq, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, held a preliminary meeting with senior officers on January 31 to discuss the upcoming Janaspandana.

Secretaries and Heads of all Departments will be in attendance, actively participating to find prompt solutions for the grievances raised. Atheeq also mentioned his intention to correspond with all Departments, urging them to swiftly address the grievances received during the previous Janaspandana. Additionally, he plans to request the Chief Secretary to the Government to expedite the resolution process for Janaspandana applications received at the Karnataka Development Program (KDP) meeting.

To facilitate public participation, arrangements for free transportation from the KSRTC bus stand at Majestic and the Railway Station will be made. Separate counters will be established to receive grievances related to different Departments, and the Department of e-Governance will provide necessary furniture and staff. Facilitation teams comprising officers and staff will be stationed at the entrance to guide individuals to designated counters after verifying their applications.

To ensure the smooth running of the event, the Police Department will be responsible for maintaining security measures and managing traffic flow. Notable officials present at the meeting included Secretary to CM Dr. K.V. Trilok Chandra, Secretary of e-Governance Department Ujwalkumar Ghosh, Secretary of DPAR Dr. M.N. Ajay Nagabushan, and other officers.
