CWC 2023: BMRCL has made arrangements for paper tickets on match days

    These paper tickets are valid for a single journey, originating at Cubbon Park or MG Road Metro Station

    QR code tickets at normal rates with a discount of 5% can also be availed

    The Chinnaswamy Stadium is set to host 5 games in the ongoing world cup

The Chinnaswamy Stadium is set to host 5 games in the ongoing world cup including Australia V/S Pakistan, England V/S Sri Lanka, New Zealand V/S Pakistan, New Zealand V/S Sri Lanka and India V/S Netherlands. It has been observed in the past that these matches lead to traffic congestion in the vicinity and overcrowding in the metro.

 In view of this BMRCL has made a special arrangement for return journey paper tickets on the days of the match. “BMRCL will be issuing return journey paper tickets that would be made available for sale at all the Metro Stations on the days of the games from 7.00 AM onwards. These paper tickets are valid for a single journey, originating at Cubbon Park or MG Road Metro Station to any other Metro Station only, on the same day of issue from 4.00 PM onwards. Besides the Paper Ticket of Rs 50/-, the QR code tickets at normal rates with a discount of 5%, purchased on the day of the match will be valid for the whole day,” BMRCL mentioned in a public statement. 

The QR tickets can be availed on Whatsapp, Namma Metro App or on PayTM .
