DAKSH 2024, all about making informed career, higher education choices

More than 100 stalls by different departments offered plethora of choices

Christ University organises event keeping interests of student community in mind

Christ Deemed to be University held DAKSH 2024, a career and education guidance fair on its campus. Through this, it provides an opportunity to several students spreading across different disciplines to understand the nitty-gritty of making informed choices in higher education and careers.

Speaking to NewsFirst Prime, Dr Padmakumar MM, Head, Media Studies, Christ University, Bangalore Central Campus, said, “The objective of hosting such an event is to ensure that the largest student community across the country would get to know what kind of career and higher education options are available for them. One could say that the Internet is omnipresent, but there is so much clutter that students will face an uphill task of choosing what to do.”

That being the context, the University helped students visit different stalls set up by 40+ departments in which students were exposed to a plethora of information helping them make germane decisions.

Neethu Ponnu Chandy, University Student Council Member  representing  School of Education and MA Economics, adds, “DAKSH would help students in guiding them make informed choices about their futures. Also students can understand the specific opportunities provided by every department.”
