Highest paid villain in Indian cinema

One might assume that the highest-paid villain might either be Ranveer Singh in Padmaavat, Saif Ali Khan in Adipurush, Kamal Haasan or even R. Madhavan in the recent film Shaitaan. But that’s far from the truth.

Reports suggest that Nitesh Tiwari has cast Yash to portray Ravana in his upcoming movie Ramayana, which will see Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita.

According to reports, Yash is being paid a staggering Rs 150 crore for his role, making him the highest-paid villain in India.

According to Firstpost, a source close to Yash said, “He knows that he also has the third part of KGF, but has decided to manage the time and shuffle between the industries. He is charging between Rs 100 crore and Rs 150 crore for the film, with Rs 100 crore being the minimum, and the higher limit depends on the number of days he is supposed to shoot and give to the schedules.”

With this, namma Yash has surpassed Kamal Haasan, who was paid Rs 25 crore for his role in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. Before that, Vijay Sethupathi earned Rs 21 crore for his villainous role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.
