Deveraje alleged DK Shivakumar's role in leaking videos

We are not bothered by such attempts to blackmail: DK Shivakumar

I know who is orchestrating this: DK Shivakumar

The leaked videos supposedly belonging to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Hassan, Prajwal Revanna has become a matter of fierce political contestation across Karnataka with all the major political parties pointing fingers at each other. On May 6th, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devaraje Gowda alleged that there was a role of the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar in leaking the videos. He also alleged that DK Shivakumar is attempting to influence the investigation and have him framed.

DK Shivakumar responded to these allegations before the 3rd phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha Election. “The BJP has used Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)) for its benefit. This has become apparent to everyone in Hassan. They have faced humiliation. They are trying to give a ‘hit and run’ treatment to this case. They want to divert the attention of the case to a different angle. Who prompted him to speak and who reached out to the media is something I am aware of. We are not bothered by such attempts to blackmail. When both Amit Shah and HD Kumaraswamy have admitted to the offence, what are they trying to hint at? I know who is orchestrating this,” he said.
