‘Don’t bat in favour of Darshan. The murder is indeed gruesome’: Siddaramaiah warns his ministers

    Siddaramaiah has come down heavily against actor Darshan

    He also issued warning to his ministers not to talk about Darshan

In the cabinet meet headed by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, he has come down heavily against those batting in favour of actor and accused Darshan who is A2 in the Renukaswamy murder case. NewsFirst Prime learns that the CM reiterated that he had never seen such a ghastly murder in his entire life. He also asked those who have a soft corner for Darshan not to approach him with demands seeking something like amnesty for the accused.

At the same time, he also issued a strong warning to his ministers not to talk about Darshan or the murder. He stressed that law will take its own course or that no one should meddle with it.

Even as we file this report, the court has remanded A1 Pavitra Gowda in judicial custody, whereas it has sent back Darshan to police custody. SPP Prasanna Kumar informed the court that they need Darshan’s presence to interrogate him in the yet-to-be-received FSL report.

In all, the police have arrested as many as 13 accused in the case. Renukaswamy was kidnapped from Chitradurga to Bengaluru where he was led into a shed and beaten up disdainfully. His body was disposed of in a nearby drain.
