₹40 lakh fraud allegation, wedding controversy: Palash Muchhal faces serious claims

Actor-producer Vidnyan Mane has filed a complaint in Sangli accusing singer-composer Palash Muchhal of cheating him of over ₹40 lakh linked to an unreleased film, allegations which Muchhal has strongly denied.

Singer and music director Palash Muchhal is once again in the spotlight after actor-producer Vidnyan Mane levelled serious allegations against him, accusing him of financial fraud linked to an unreleased film project.

Mane has filed a complaint in Sangli, Maharashtra, claiming that Muchhal cheated him of more than ₹40 lakh. According to Mane, he was introduced to Palash Muchhal through the family of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, stating that he had known Mandhana since her childhood.

Mane alleged that he invested over ₹40 lakh in a film involving Palash Muchhal and his family. After the initial investment, he was allegedly pressured to put in more money. He claimed that when he met Amita Muchhal, Palash’s mother, last month, he was told the film’s budget had reached ₹1.5 crore and was asked to invest an additional ₹10 lakh.

Mane further alleged that he was blackmailed, being told that his invested money would not be returned if he refused to pay more. He also claimed he was threatened with removal from the project, following which he approached the police.

In a shocking claim, Mane alleged that during Palash Muchhal’s wedding event on November 23, 2025, the singer was allegedly caught with another woman in a bedroom. Mane said he was present at the wedding and described the incident as disturbing. He further claimed that Indian women cricketers present at the event confronted Muchhal.

Mane stated that after the wedding with Smriti Mandhana was later cancelled in December 2025, his own family distanced themselves from him. He also alleged that other actors involved in the film were not paid their dues and claimed that producers were cheated by directors in the industry. Mane said he has been receiving threats and that the film, though said to be ready for release, has made no progress.

Responding through an Instagram story, Palash Muchhal dismissed all allegations as false, baseless, and malicious. He stated that the claims made by Vidnyan Mane on social media were untrue and aimed at damaging his reputation, adding that he would respond appropriately.

It may be noted that Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana’s wedding was scheduled for November 23, 2025. The families initially postponed it citing a health emergency, before officially cancelling it in December 2025.
