A 22-year-old woman has been accused of creating multiple fake accounts to defame actress Anupama Parameswaran by posting morphed pictures and false claims online.
Social media has increasingly turned into a breeding ground for online bullies and trolls. The latest victim of this growing menace is actress Anupama Parameswaran, a well-known face across multiple South Indian film industries.
Anupama, often praised for her performances and elegance, has now found herself battling mental distress due to online harassment. According to reports, a 22-year-old woman allegedly created several fake social media accounts and began posting defamatory and morphed photos of the actress.

These posts not only targeted Anupama but also tagged her friends and family members, causing her immense emotional strain. The content included false claims and offensive remarks, all aimed at tarnishing her image in the public eye.
Anupama revealed the harassment on her official social media handle, expressing shock that a young woman, not a man, was behind this malicious act. The incident comes soon after similar cases involving other actresses like Rukmini Vasanth, who too faced impersonation and online harassment.
Following the revelation, Kerala Cyber Crime Police have registered a complaint and launched an investigation. The accused reportedly operated multiple accounts to circulate fake content about the actress.
