Amid viral wedding buzz, the actor speaks candidly in Mumbai about her personal life, family pressure, and her belief in waiting for the right partner.
Amid growing speculation about her wedding on February 14, actor Mrunal Thakur was busy promoting her upcoming film Do Deewane Sheher Mein in Mumbai, where she firmly dismissed viral marriage rumours linking her to southern superstar Dhanush.
Several online reports had claimed that the two actors were set to tie the knot. However, during a special media interaction, Mrunal responded with humour, calling the entire buzz nothing more than an “April Fool joke” and said the date had turned into a day of playful speculation for many.
During the conversation, the actor also opened up about discussions around marriage within her family. When asked whether wedding talks had begun at home, she shared in a light-hearted manner that she had recently asked her parents to start looking for a suitable match. She revealed that while her father wished to find a partner for her, there was no specific person in mind, making the situation both amusing and uncertain.

Speaking about relationships and marriage, Mrunal stressed that her personal life holds equal importance to her professional journey. She admitted that emotional balance plays a key role in her career, and she strongly believes that marriage should not happen under pressure or social expectations. According to her, the right decision comes when one meets a partner who brings comfort, peace, and emotional security, even in silence.
Her co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi added a humorous twist to the discussion, joking that people should line up outside her home dressed as wedding guests on February 14, calling the entire episode the biggest April Fool prank.
Reacting to the constant rumours, Mrunal said she could only laugh, as even she had no idea about her own supposed wedding. She added that when she eventually gets married, she would announce it proudly to the world, describing herself as an expressive person who enjoys celebrating love openly and honestly.
