On its opening day, Thamma collected ₹25.11 crore, according to Maddock Films. The film enjoyed a largely uncontested release, with the only other Diwali release being Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. Despite this, its opening is below previous franchise benchmarks, including Stree 2, which opened at ₹35 crore last year, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which managed ₹32 crore despite competition.

Thamma explores the lore of vampires, with Khurrana playing a man who suddenly transforms into a vampire. His romance with Rashmika Mandanna faces unexpected challenges, blending horror and comedy in a “bloody love story” produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik.
