The makers of the blockbuster film Dhurandhar have officially revealed the trailer of its much-awaited sequel, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge.” The announcement comes at a time when the original film continues its historic and unstoppable run at the box office, further strengthening its position as one of the biggest cinematic successes in Indian film history.

The newly released trailer has already created massive excitement online, with fans celebrating the return of Ranveer Singh as the fierce character Hamza Ali Mazari. Early visuals from the trailer suggest that the sequel will take the story into a much darker, more violent and emotionally intense territory.

The trailer quickly establishes the larger scale of the sequel. Ranveer Singh’s character appears more ruthless and powerful than before, with glimpses of brutal fight sequences and intense confrontations dominating the visuals.

The tone of the trailer is significantly darker compared to the first film. It hints that Hamza Ali Mazari may now be stepping into the powerful legacy left behind by Rahman Dakait. The story appears to move towards Hamza becoming the new “Sher-e-Baloch” and the undisputed king of Lyari, suggesting a major transformation in his journey.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the original film Dhurandhar has turned into a massive cultural phenomenon. With its extraordinary box office success, the film has become the biggest Hindi film of all time, redefining the scale of the spy-action genre.

The success of the film has also elevated Aditya Dhar’s reputation, placing him among the most influential filmmakers in contemporary Indian cinema.
With “Dhurandhar: The Revenge,” the creators aim to expand the franchise even further. The sequel is expected to introduce a bigger narrative world, while also diving deeper into the darker motivations of its central character.

Another major element of the story will be the power vacuum created after Rahman Dakait’s exit, which appears to set the stage for Hamza’s rise in the criminal and political hierarchy of Lyari.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026. The date has been strategically selected to coincide with major festivals including Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi, ensuring a wide festive audience across different regions of India.
