According to the complaint, the designer first came into contact with Reddy through his daughter, who had reached out for wedding outfit consultations. Using this connection, Reddy allegedly befriended the designer and began visiting her frequently, presenting himself as a “family friend.”
Later, Reddy reportedly claimed he wished to invest in her fashion business and often discussed family matters to build trust. However, the relationship allegedly took a dark turn when Reddy became emotionally manipulative. One day, he is said to have arrived at the designer’s Bengaluru residence, claiming that his daughter was no longer speaking to him and that he needed emotional support.

The situation escalated when, during the conversation, Reddy suddenly confessed his feelings and demanded that she reciprocate his love. When the designer refused, he allegedly assaulted her and threatened to kill her and her two children if she did not accept his proposal. The woman also claimed that he repeatedly shouted “I love you” in an aggressive tone before attacking her.
Frightened and traumatised, the designer approached the Vyalikaval Police Station, leading to the registration of an FIR against Santhosh Reddy for assault, harassment, and criminal intimidation. Police sources confirmed that an investigation is underway and statements are being recorded.
