Prakash Raj breaks silence on ‘Spirit’ exit rumours: “Fake News, We Haven’t Even Shot My Scenes Yet”

Actor Prakash Raj has firmly denied reports of being dropped from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, calling social media claims baseless and misleading.

Actor Prakash Raj has put an end to widespread speculation claiming that he has been removed from Spirit, the much-awaited action drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and headlined by Prabhas. The actor dismissed the reports as false and baseless, clarifying that filming for his portions has not even begun.

Taking to social media platform X, Prakash Raj reacted sharply to the rumours. In his post, he criticised what he described as fake news factories, stating that people were spreading speculative stories without facts. He added that his scenes for the film are yet to be shot and urged online users to act responsibly, ending his message with laughing emojis.

The clarification came after several industry reports and social media posts suggested that Prakash Raj had exited the project following alleged creative differences with the director over the script and a particular scene. Some unverified sources had also claimed that issues related to his behaviour on set had led to his supposed removal. However, there had been no official announcement from the makers confirming these claims.

Spirit has remained in the spotlight since its announcement. The film features Prabhas in the role of an intense and fearless police officer. Triptii Dimri plays the female lead, marking her second collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga after the blockbuster Animal. Vivek Oberoi is reportedly essaying the role of the main antagonist.

Earlier, actress Deepika Padukone was said to have stepped away from the project due to scheduling conflicts, after which Triptii Dimri was finalised for the role. One of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema, Spirit is currently scheduled for a theatrical release in March 2027.
