Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations bags Andhra Pradesh and Telangana distribution rights for ₹120 crore, making it the biggest non-Telugu pre-release deal in Telugu cinema history.
Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has created history even before hitting theatres. In a landmark deal, Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), led by leading Telugu producer and distributor Dil Raju, has acquired the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana distribution rights for ₹120 crore on an advance-on-commission basis. This is now the biggest pre-release distribution deal ever for a non-Telugu film in the Telugu states.
Industry sources reveal that three major distributors were in a fierce bidding war, reflecting the extraordinary buzz surrounding the project. SVC eventually secured the rights, underlining the massive confidence in Yash’s box-office pull, especially after the blockbuster success of KGF Chapter 2. According to Dil Raju, Yash’s popularity in the Telugu market has only grown stronger, and the long four-year wait has further boosted audience expectations.
Toxic is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, who also directs the film. The movie is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages, ensuring a truly pan-Indian and global reach.
The chaos is beginning to unfold.
