Yash’s Toxic is breaking records ahead of release. Telugu rights sold for ₹120 cr to SVC, while Phars Films secured overseas rights for ₹105 cr, totaling ₹225 cr in pre-release deals

Rocking Star Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is rewriting trade history even before its theatrical release on March 19. The highly anticipated gangster drama, directed by Geethu Mohandas, has sealed unprecedented distribution deals that underline Yash’s soaring global appeal post-KGF.

Recently, the Telugu theatrical rights of Toxic were acquired by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC) for a staggering ₹120 crore. This marks the first time a non-Telugu film has commanded such a record price in the Andhra Pradesh–Telangana market, sending shockwaves across the Indian film industry. The deal reflects the immense confidence regional distributors have in Yash’s ability to draw audiences across linguistic boundaries.

Adding to the frenzy, the overseas rights have now been sold for another historic amount. Phars Films, a leading distributor in the Middle East and beyond, has acquired the international release rights for ₹105 crore. This acquisition is being touted as one of the largest overseas deas ever for an Indian film, cementing Toxic as a global cinematic event. The film’s simultaneous shoot in Kannada and English has further enhanced its international positioning, making it attractive to markets as diverse as Japan, China, and Nepal.

As the countdown to March 19 begins, Toxic is not just a film release but a landmark in Indian cinema’s global expansion. The record-breaking deals highlight how Yash has transformed into a truly pan-Indian and international star, with distributors betting big on his box office magnetism.
