Collectively, these Indian billionaires boast a staggering wealth of $954 billion, marking a substantial 41% surge from the $675 billion recorded in 2023.

Topping the chart among Indian tycoons is Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, with a whopping net worth of $116 billion. Notably, Ambani’s wealth has surged by 39.76%, making him the first Indian to join the prestigious “$100 billion club.” He also holds the ninth spot globally and reigns as India’s and Asia’s wealthiest individual.
Following closely is Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, securing the second position among India’s richest, with a formidable net worth of $84 billion. Among the noteworthy mentions is Savitri Jindal, emerging as India’s richest woman with a net worth of $33.5 billion, climbing from her sixth position last year to the fourth spot this time.
Forbes’ 2024 list also introduces 25 new Indian billionaires, featuring prominent figures like Naresh Trehan, Ramesh Kunhikannan, and Renuka Jagtiani. However, some notable names like Byju Raveendran and Rohiqa Mistry have dropped off the list this year.
Globally, the top spots are dominated by Bernard Arnault and family, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Larry Ellison, with net worths ranging from $233 billion to $114 billion.
