We're going to treat it as any other game: Gary

The game between India and Pakistan in the ICC T-20 World Cup is scheduled to take place on June 9th. Apart from the pride associated with the game for both sides, it has become crucial for Pakistan to register a win to ensure that their qualification for the next round rests in their hands. This is a consequence of their defeat to the USA in their first game. “Yes, we need individuals to make good performances, but playing games like this, I think, is a real team effort. It’s a big game, so we’re going to treat it as any other game. But certainly, give it our best shot,” Pakistan coach Gary Kirsten said ahead of the game.

Gary confirmed that all rounder Imad Wasim will be available for the game. He affirmed that the team had put the loss against the USA behind them. “They’re well motivated, and they’re focused on this game. We’ve had to forget about the last couple of days and just move forward. That’s the only way you can deal with life. Results are results. They take care of themselves. But the way we arrive at a match and pitch up and give it our best shot and make sure that our skills are up to where they need to be, that’s all we can control,” Gary added.
